Throughout history, brave men and women have seen injustice and taken action. As a young child, I dreamed of being one such brave person. I imagined myself smuggling slaves to Canada or hiding Jews as they fled. I was sure that if I’d been alive during those times of terrible injustice that I would’ve done something.
About six years ago I learned that slavery is alive and well. I heard that an estimated 30 million people live in slavery. That’s more than there were during the entire Trans-Atlantic slave trade. I was shocked, but I believed that the desire to do justice was put there from a young age and now was my time to take action.
Since then I have been on a journey, exploring both the issues and solutions. This blog was born so together we can take action as we walk the paths of justice.
